Letzter Tag heute. Morgen geht der
Flieger zwar erst gegen 16 Uhr nach Singapur und wir haben noch den
Vormittag zu unserer Verfügung, aber wir werden nicht mehr viel
unternehmen.

Heute wird Abschied genommen. Abschied
mit einer Fahrt zu einer schönsten Strände im Norden von Sydney:
Manly.
Wie bereits gestern haben wir die Fähre
genommen. Diesmal dauerte die Fahrt eine halbe Stunde. Manly hat uns
an Cairns erinnert. Ähnliche Atmosphäre, bunt, pulsierend. The
Corso heisst die Shopping Strasse welche direkt zur Surf Coast geht.

Wir haben hier am Strand die Seele
baumeln lassen und uns im Bavarian Bier Cafe an der Manly Wharf
wieder auf heimische Getränke vorbereitet. Nach 7 Wochen VB
(Victoria Bitter), Carlton Draught, XXXX Gold, Little Creatures und
StoneWood schmeckte das Paulaner Hefeweizen wieder sehr gut.
Wie gesagt, morgen geht es nach
Singapur. Wir bleiben dort einen Tag und am Sonntag geht’s es via
München nach Hamburg, wo wir wahrscheinlich vom Streik der Bahn
getroffen werden. Gott sei Dank hat Gilas Tochter ein Taxi für uns
reserviert, dass uns am Flughafen abholen wird.

Last day today. Tomorrow
we leave around 4pm so we still have a half day for us, but we will
take it easy, not much more on our to-do list.
Today we say Bye Bye with
a ferry ride to one of the nicest beaches of northern Sydney: Manly.
Like yesterday we too the
ferry. The ride was about 30 minutes. Manly reminded us of Cairns.
Similar atmosphere, very colorful and vibrant. The shopping road that
goes directly to the Surf Coast Beach is called The Corso.
We relaxed some time at
the beach promenade and enjoyed a good Paulaner dark Hefeweizen at
the Bavarian Bier Cafe at the Manly Wharf. Its time to get used to
German beer after 7 weeks with VB (Victoria Bitter), Carlton Draught,
XXXX Gold, Little Creatures and StoneWood!
As I said tomorrow we head
for Singapore where we stay one day and then off we go to Hamburg via
Munich. The German Railway is on strike and we will probably be
affected by it. Thanks God Gila's daughter has made a taxi
reservation for us and we'll be picked up at Hamburg airport.
